Marques de Vargas is een toegankelijke rode wijn. Rijp fruit, een vleugje kruiden, rijpe tannines en een goede afdronk.
Uitstekende combinatie met rundvlees, lam, stoofschotels, wild, ossehaas, geroosterd/gegrild vlees, jamon en harde kazen. 
Goed op dronk, maar kan zich tot 2022 nog verder ontwikkelen. 
De optimale drinktemperatuur voor Marques de Vargas magnum is 16°C.

"For some reason, I got one lone sample from Marqués de Vargas, the 2014 Reserva, which showed classical proportions and aromas in a somehow-updated style. The palate was medium-bodied, revealing the shortcomings of the vintage in the mid-palate, where it could do with a little more weight. But all in all, it's a notable effort for the year."
