Volle complexe biologische. Zwart fruit, cederhout, mineralen, delicate kruiden, prachtige tannines en een afdronk met kielzog.
Uitstekende combinatie met rundvlees, lam, stoofschotels, wild, ossehaas, geroosterd/gegrild vlees, jamon en harde kazen.
Goed op dronk, maar kan zich tot 2018 nog verder ontwikkelen.
De optimale drinktemperatuur voor Vinya Selva de Mar is 16°C.

"The 2008 Vinya Selva del Mar is a selection from the best plots that are harvested later. The final blend was 50% Garnacha Negra, 30% Syrah and 20% Cariñena. The wine matured in 225- and 300-liter oak barrels for 15 months. It feels very old-style and traditional, with a developed nose mixing aromas of cured meats, wild berries, spices and cedar wood with rusticity that has an undeniable Mediterranean accent. The palate is soft and polished placing this as a wine outside the modern tendencies that has some rusticity, though is more like an elegant relative from the countryside. A lovely wine. 5,000 bottles."

Similarly I jumped from the 2008 to the the 2013 Vinya Selva del Mar, which unfortunately showed some volatility, blurry aromas and an herbal twist coupled with high ripeness and alcohol. 5,000 bottles. 28th Oct 2016
