Gotes del Priorat is een wijn uit Priorat

Gotes del Priorat heeft 10 maanden houtrijping gehad en heeft mooie aroma's van rijp zwart fruit, wilde kruiden, mineralen, balsamico en leer. 

Uitstekende combinatie met rundvlees, lam, stoofschotels, wild, geroosterd/gegrild vlees (bbq), jamon en harde kazen. Nu op dronk, maar kan zich tenminste tot 2021 nog verder ontwikkelen. De optimale drinktemperatuur is 16°C. 

The Wine Advocate (about 2016):

"There are some phenolic aromas on the nose of the red 2016 Gotes del Priorat as well as some dryness on the palate. It's a blend of Garnacha with 40% Cariñena and 10% of Syrah aged in used barriques and foudres for ten months. The palate is medium-bodied with some gritty tannins and a dry finish. There is a faint animal character that makes me hesitate.

Alfredo Arribas's project in Priorat is called Portal del Priorat. He has two ranges of wines: the entry-level Gotes for fresh wines and Clos del Portal for terroir wines."
